January 28th, 2012

When your dog has allergies, you might notice signs such as watery eyes, sneezing and coughing, scratching, biting, diarrhea, fatigue, vomiting and a general not quite right personality. When your dog has allergies, you might notice a few of these symptoms. Learning what causes these allergies is the first step toward treating your dog’s itchy skin.

You may find your pet has a rash due to a dermatitis and you need to treat your dog’s dry, itchy skin . You might have seen small red bites on your dog, or your pooch might scratch and scratch until you notice bald spots. This can mean they have fleas, ticks, or mites and can be an allergic reaction caused by insect saliva. It is important to monitor any dog problems. If your dog has open wounds, you should wait until the wounds heal before spraying or bathing them with medicine that kills the insects and their eggs.
